The final weekend of the regular season will decide who will play for the Mountain West championship.

The Boise State football team has secured a spot in the Mountain West title game hosted by the Broncos.

The other place? There are only two left. Here’s what you should know.

Mountain West football tiebreaker scenarios

Boise State will host the title game. The Broncos face either UNLV or Colorado State. Both UNLV and CSU are 5-1 in Mountain West play.

If CSU and UNLV end in a tie, the first tiebreaker will be a head-to-head matchup, but the teams have not played this season. The second tiebreaker is the highest seed in the College Football Playoff. UNLV is ranked 22nd in the latest CFP poll released Tuesday. CSU is not in the top 25. The third tiebreaker (if neither team is ranked in the CFP) is a composite computer ranking that would likely also go to UNLV.

Conclusion: UNLV will make it to the title game if it matches CSU’s result. The Rams have to win (vs. Utah State) and UNLV has to lose (vs. Nevada) this week.
