Wayne Osmond, the well-known “The Osmonds” star, has died at the age of 73.

The legendary rock and electric guitarist’s death was confirmed through a series of posts uploaded to social media by Wayne’s family members.

His brother Donny Osmond wrote: “My dear brother Wayne passed away peacefully last night from a stroke. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to visit him in the hospital before his death.”

He continued: Wayne brought so much light, laughter and love to everyone who knew him, especially me. He was the ultimate optimist and loved by everyone. I certainly speak for all of our siblings when I say we were lucky to have Wayne as a brother.”

“I have never known a man who had more humility. A man without any guile. A person who was quick to forgive and had the ability to show unconditional love to everyone he ever met. His departure from this earth will be a sad moment for some, but for those who wait for him on the other side, there will be a tremendous celebration beyond anything we can imagine,” he further wrote about the musician .

As Donny concluded the note, he said, “My brother Wayne has endured a lot. He gave everything. His legacy will be remembered as someone who was not only a genius in his ability to write music, but was also able to capture the hearts of millions of people and bring them closer to God.”

Wyne Osmond’s other brother, Merrill Osmond, wrote in his short and sentimental tribute: “My brother was a saint before he came into this world, and he will leave an even greater saint than when he came in.”
