My Chemical Romance drummer found dead in apartment

Bob Bryar, a former drummer for the emo band My Chemical Romance, was found dead in his home in Tennessee.

According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Mr Bryar’s body was found in an advanced state of decomposition after he was last heard from on November 4th.

A day before the US election, he posted one-word messages on social media, one of which simply read “Tulsi,” an apparent reference to Tulsi Gabbard, later chosen by Donald Trump to be his director of national intelligence became.

Authorities in Tennessee do not suspect foul play in the 44-year-old’s death because his musical instruments and weapons were all still in the house, local media reports.

Police also took two dogs from his house.

International fame

Mr Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, just as they were making their breakthrough to international stardom.

He toured with them on their second album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and played drums on the multi-platinum release The Black Parade.

The album’s 2006 lead single, “Welcome to the Black Parade”, reached the top of the UK charts.

Mr Bryar left the band in acrimonious circumstances in 2010, shortly after they completed recording their fourth studio album.

After retiring from the music industry in 2014, he began working in real estate, according to TMZ.

“Depressed, angry, suicidal”

He left several messages on social media that suggested he was struggling with his mental health and that he was angry about how he left the band.

In 2015, he tweeted that after being “kicked out of MyChem” he “became the most depressed, angry and suicidal person ever.”

In his second life as a real estate agent, he donated to local dog shelters and auctioned off his drum kit to raise funds for a local animal rescue center.

The Chicago native played in brass bands in his youth before studying music engineering.

After disbanding in 2013, the band is scheduled to reunite for a tour in 2025. Mr. Bryar was not listed in the cast.
