South Carolina’s streak of in-state transactions continued as the early signing period began.

Shane projector and the Gamecocks have been active in recruiting in the state of South Carolina – for good reason – and have another big player in the state staying home as time ran out in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Mike Tyler, a three-star in-state tight end, decommitted from LSU to the Gamecocks on Wednesday after Beamer and his coaching staff continued to target the local pass-catcher for months. Tyler committed to LSU over the summer due to out-of-state advances from Duke and West Virginia.

Na’eem Offord was one of the most polarizing recruits of this 2025 cycle.

After a three-team battle for the five-star cornerback that only intensified as the early signing period approached, Offord has switched his commitment from Ohio State to Oregon. It was always the SEC for Lagonza Hayward. It was just a question of where.

The Peach State star from Lyons (Ga.) Toombs County considered many programs on the traditional SEC East side of the coin before choosing Tennessee in July. He retired from the Vols at the start of December and the battle between Georgia State and Florida State picked up steam again.

Hayward decided to move on Billy Napier and Florida during a ceremony at his school Wednesday afternoon.

Wednesday marked the day for the Class of 2025 and Watkins followed through on his decision to commit to the Ole Miss Rebels.

Shortly before LaRue Zamorano transferred to Michigan State this summer, he talked about his two finalists in a local 7on7 tournament.

The four-star cornerback from Corona (Calif.) Centennial played at Michigan State and Washington and the main reason for the Spartans’ win was his relationship with position coach Demetrice Martin, who is also a family friend.

In recent days, Martin transferred from Michigan State to UCLA and Zamorano wasn’t far behind, as on signing day the four-star announced his commitment to the Bruins after decommitting from the Spartans just a few days ago.
