NBA Live Discussion: Brooklyn Nets at Milwaukee Bucks, 8:00 p.m. ET

Right back. The Nets face the Milwaukee Bucks again, only this time they will be healthier than the last time these two played. The Nets suffered a 17-point loss to the weak Raptors on Wednesday, making it the second night in a row. Not to mention it’s the last game of the New Year’s road trip. It’s hard to imagine that these guys will reach their full potential under such circumstances. We know how they work at this pace, especially with players like Ben Simmons and even Cam Thomas.

The Nets are 12-21 in seventh place among tank commanders. There’s still a ways to go before they reach the bottom three.

Game preview | Brian Fleurantine

Injuries: No Bojan Bogdanovic, Trendon Watford or Ziaire Williams. Cam Thomas missed yesterday’s game as part of injury treatment but is expected back tonight. Ben Simmons played yesterday, so there’s a good chance he’ll miss this game. Noah Clowney suffered a bad fall last night and had to leave the game. We’ll see how he feels today. The worst news, however, might be Maxwell Lewis. He left last night’s game with a knee injury. He will undergo an MRI sometime today and the team will provide an update. I hope for the best.

BUCKS: Giannis Antetokounmpo (right patellar tendinopathy) and Khris Middleton (recovering from ankle surgery) are both likely.

The game: He (DLo) gives the Nets another player who can get his own shot on offense, and that can help them stay close on nights when they can’t get anything wobbly in transition. It will also be fun to see how he and Cam Thomas work together as a backcourt tandem. CT is rebuilding after an extended injury layoff, so managing his minutes and workload will be a fun subplot of next week of Nets basketball.
