Netflix releases trailer for documentary “Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones.”

It was about a year and a half ago when it was first announced that Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys would be the subject of an upcoming Netflix documentary series.

However, such things take time and in the end we came up with something substantial and serious about the documentary. Netflix has released the official trailer “America’s Team: The Player and His Cowboys” on Thursday afternoon.

You can watch it below.

If it’s not obvious, the documentary appears to specifically cover the Jerry Jones era of the Dallas Cowboys. Interestingly, the trailer portrays things as if the Cowboys had become America’s team under him, although that’s obviously not true.

However, clips are shown with various members from the Cowboys’ glory days: Emmitt Smith, Deion Sanders, Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin. The trailer is short, but the final words are overlaid by Jerry Jones himself.

“Let them talk.”

“It’s a soap opera 365 days a year.”

It’s obvious that the documentary leans into the cowboy nature of it all, as projects like this often do. As for the release dates, it was only mentioned that it will be released in 2025. Generally, things like this are tied to something notable on the NFL calendar, so maybe we’ll get it around the NFL Draft or possibly early next season.
