Netflix starts in 2025, continuing an (almost) annual tradition. In 2021 and 2024, the streaming service kicked off the new year with the premiere of a mystery-thriller show based on a novel by Harlan Coben, and its latest collaboration with the best-selling crime author is just out with “Missing You.” landed on the platform. .

“Missing You” is an adaptation of the 2014 Coben novel of the same name and follows police officer Kat Donovan (Rosalind Eleazar), who discovers her ex-fiancé on a dating app. That would be embarrassing enough for most people, but the problem is that Kat’s fiancé disappeared without a trace more than a decade ago. This five-part series debuted on Netflix earlier this week (January 1) and is a good chance to secure a spot in the streamer’s top 10.
