New episode of “Yellowstone” season 5 on Sunday: time, where to watch

Spoiler alert: This story contains details about the third episode of Season 5, Part 2 of “Yellowstone.”

The fourth episode of the second half of Yellowstone’s fifth season is set to premiere after the third episode last Sunday gave fans a closer look at the death of Gov. John Dutton.

Kevin Costner, who has played the head of the Dutton clan since the series’ Paramount Network premiere in 2018, announced in June that he would not be returning for what is expected to be the series’ final season.

Dutton’s death was made to look like a suicide in the first episode of the second half, with Costner’s stunt double playing the dead governor. While fans were spared from gory images in this episode, this was not the case in the most recent episode as Dutton’s stiff and bruised body was thoroughly examined by the coroner. Dutton’s death is fully revealed in a flashback during the episode, in which three professionals wearing balaclavas grab the sleeping governor, drag him to the bathroom, drug him, put a gun in his hand and hold it to his head.

How to watch Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2

New episodes air Sunday nights at 8:00 PM ET/PT on Paramount Network.

You won’t be able to stream “Yellowstone” episodes on Paramount+, the platform announced, and it won’t be available on any of the service’s subscription plans. If you’re signed in to your TV provider, you can sign in to the Paramount Network and watch TV that way.

Previous seasons of “Yellowstone” are streaming on Peacock.

What will happen in “Yellowstone” episode 12?

After scheming lawyer co-conspirator Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) is murdered, the sinister Dutton son Jamie (Wes Bentley) is alone, cornered and crying. Jamie is on his way to his arrest, his death at the hands of Dutton, or perhaps even to the family’s dreaded “train station” where former enemies are supposed to be housed.

But don’t leave the Attorney General out just yet.

“Jamie is a brilliant political animal,” director Christina Voros tells USA TODAY. “He is programmed to move on to the next option for survival.”

The Dutton siblings Kayce (Luke Grimes) and Beth (Kelly Reilly) are also in trouble, with insurmountable tax burdens and debts on their father’s beloved Yellowstone Ranch, which generations of Duttons have fought to maintain.
