New streaming shows and movies on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV and more

This is not only the last weekend in November, but also the first weekend in December. Since this Sunday is December 1st, a whole host of new and old movies will be landing on Netflix and all major streaming services. I won’t list them all here. Instead, we’ll look at the new offerings and all the shows currently streaming.

Every week I do a hard search for the best new shows and movies and list them here, along with the shows airing weekly on the countless streaming services we all subscribe to. It’s hard to keep up! I’m here to help.

Check out last weekend’s streaming guide here:

ForbesWhat to watch this weekend: New streaming shows and movies on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV and more

We start with the new streaming offers.

New to stream this weekend

The Madness (Netflix)

Fear The Walking Dead Colman Domingo stars in this conspiracy thriller about a media expert who must clear his name after stumbling upon a murder in the woods. All eight episodes are now on Netflix.

The Agency (Paramount+)

Michael Fassbender plays an undercover CIA spy. The spy thriller is based on the French series The Bureau of Legends I’ve heard great things about it but haven’t seen it myself. The first two episodes are available now.

Beatles ’64 (Disney+)

A new documentary about the Beatles’ first trip to the United States, including old footage and interviews with Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney.

Nutcracker (Hulu)

Ben Stiller and Linda Cardellini star in this holiday dramedy about a man who becomes guardian of four orphans and must balance this new responsibility with his workaholic tendencies. The film is based on a true story and stars the four real children – the Janson brothers – whose lives are at stake.

Moana 2 (in theaters)

The sequel to the hit Disney princess film is back in theaters and fans are loving it, although perhaps a little less than the original. It competes a little bit with Evil, what you should definitely see.

What’s currently streaming?

There are still a number of shows streaming weekly, but both Arcane And OUT OF are finished. Arcane is finally over, but OUT OF returns to MGM+ in 2026, hopefully sooner than later.

Outlander Season 7, Part 2 (Starz)

I enjoyed the first episode of Season 7, Part 2 of Outlander, in which Jaime and Claire are back in Scotland for the first time in many seasons (and many years). We get some nice time travel twists and some pleasant – and not so pleasant – reunions. I’m looking forward to this Sunday’s episode.

Silo Season 2 (Apple TV)

I’m now two episodes behind on Apple’s excellent post-apocalyptic drama Silo, which in many ways is even more Stand out as Stand out. Season 2 had a bit of a slow start, but I still have high hopes for the new season. Rebecca Ferguson plays the lead role. New episodes appear on Fridays.

Shrink (Apple TV)

We’re nearing the end of this charming comedy-drama about a grieving therapist and his family, colleagues and friends as they grapple with loss, friendship, parenthood and relationships. It’s very funny, very sad and very relatable, and Harrison Ford is wonderful. New episodes appear on Tuesdays.

Dune: Prophecy (HBO/MAX)

I’m behind on everything, too Dune: Prophecy. I found the first episode of the prequel complicated and too expository to be good, but things got pretty interesting in the second half and I’m excited to see where it goes. I’ll have to watch the latest and new episodes this weekend to see if it’s worth watching or not.

New episodes appear on Sundays.

Day of the Jackal (Peacock)

The first five episodes of the spy thriller Day of the Jackal starring Eddie Redmayne landed on Peacock last week, with a total of 10 new episodes releasing on Thursdays. I’m a big fan of this type of spy thriller, although I doubt the series can live up to the original 1973 film.

Landman (Paramount+)

One of two Taylor Sheridan dramas on this list, Countryman follows Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) on his way through the world of Texas oil. The series is based on that Boomtown Podcast by Christian Wallace, who co-created the show. New episodes appear on Sundays.

Yellowstone (VOD/Paramount Network)

Taylor Sheridan’s massive hit, Yellowstone, will not stream unless you purchase the season on a site like Prime Video. Otherwise, you’ll have to watch it on Paramount Network or wait for it to eventually appear on Peacock thanks to a complicated streaming deal. I’m still a few episodes behind on this one because, frankly, I find it too melodramatic and its characters too unpleasant to force myself to keep watching. The final half of the season was controversial as Kevin Costner was no longer involved.
