According to CBS News Miami, the Latin American tradition is expected to lead to adventure and travel to new places in the coming year.

More food means more happiness, but avoid lobster

Noodles, pork, whole fish and pomegranate seeds can also bring good luck in the New Year.

Pigs have always been considered good luck, so a meal containing pork can bring prosperity.

While eating pork is great because it always moves forward, you should avoid eating lobster.

However, mixing pork, pomegranate, fish and black-eyed peas on one plate doesn’t sound particularly tempting, so it’s probably best if you spread your lucky treats throughout New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve.

“It’s not good to eat lobsters because they walk backwards,” Pelaccio said.

Use the color of your underwear to show love

According to Sustainable Baddie, the color of underwear you wear on New Year’s Day can fulfill your heart’s desires in the New Year.

Do you want a raise or a better paying job? Then you might want to wear yellow panties. Red panties are said to bring passion and love while pink brings platonic love. Blue brings good health and green underwear means freedom, life and nature.

Maybe a quick trip to Victoria’s Secret or Target is the key to achieving your New Year’s resolutions.

According to Rockland/Westchester Journal News, part of the USA TODAY Network, wearing different colored underwear for New Year’s wishes is common in many different countries, including Spain, Latin America and Italy, where the tradition is said to have originated.
