NFL Draft Order: Browns Rooting Guide for Week 17 Needs Giants Help, But Includes More Hope

The “Race to the Bottom” continues for at least the six teams with three or fewer wins in the 2024 NFL season. The 2025 NFL Draft is led by QB Shedeuer Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner WR/CB Travis Hunter. Christmas week is packed with NFL football, with no games on Tuesday. With Monday Night Football in the books for Week 16, we’re looking forward to the Week 17 guide to find out the Browns’ best interest to get the top overall pick:

Christmas Day NFL Game – Went the Browns way

  • As one of our loyal readers pointed out, the Chiefs clinching the top seed last week could give Cleveland a better shot at the top seed. Kansas City did it on Christmas Day, which could make things very interesting in Week 18.

Thursday Night Football – didn’t go Brown’s way

  • Bears (4 wins) over Seahawks

Saturday games – One didThey didn’t go Brown’s way

  • Patriots (3 wins) over Chargers
  • Bengals over Broncos – Cleveland wants Miami to take care of it in Week 17, so it’s backing Cincy

Sunday games

  • Jets (4 wins) over Bills
  • Raiders (3 wins) over Saints
  • Giants (2 wins) over Colts
  • Panthers (4 wins) over Bucs
  • Tie between Titans and Jaguars (both have 3 wins, based on SOS there seems to be a slight preference for the Jaguars to win)
  • Dolphins over Browns

Things are going Cleveland’s way in Week 17 and there’s no big swing in the SOS for the Giants, with the Browns picking first. Since it’s unlikely that there will be a tie between the Jags and Titans, Cleveland most likely can’t do better than 2nd place this week.
