NFL playoffs wild card games tomorrow: TV schedule for Sunday

This is what the NFL is building in the fall. Wildcard weekend is here, with six games spread over three days starting Saturday. But Sunday has the most football on the schedule, with the potential for 11 hours of nearly non-stop playoff action.

The Buffalo Bills host the Denver Broncos in the first of three Sunday wild-card games, with the possibility of snow predicted. MVP candidate Josh Allen is leading the Bills to the playoffs for the sixth straight season and has won four straight postseason games in the wild card round. The Bills face rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who helped the Broncos exceed expectations in coach Sean Payton’s second season in Denver.

The late afternoon game is the first of two return games from the opening week of the 2024 regular season. The Philadelphia Eagles host the Green Bay Packers after the two teams met in Brazil in Week 1. The Eagles are expected to have quarterback Jalen Hurts back after he missed the last two games due to a concussion on Dec. 22. Packers quarterback Jordan Love is also hopeful of returning to play, according to coach Matt LaFleur, after leaving the regular-season finale in Green Bay early with an elbow injury.

The Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers wrap up wild-card action on Sunday, with the Commanders seeking a long-awaited playoff win and the Buccaneers attempting to advance to the divisional round for the fourth time in five years. Washington last made the NFL postseason in the 2020 season when it lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Buccaneers led by Tom Brady. The Commanders haven’t advanced to the playoffs since beating Tampa Bay in the 2005 wild-card round.
