The Minnesota Vikings almost couldn’t do it any quieter. Justin Jefferson was brilliant, with 10 catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns as the Vikings beat the Seahawks 27-24 to keep pace with the Lions in the NFC North and clinch first place in the NFC playoffs at 13-2 secure. Minnesota hosts the Packers next week before a Week 18 trip to Detroit, which could end up being between the NFC’s top two teams with the No. 1 seed on the line.

In Miami, the Dolphins kept their playoff hopes alive with a 29-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Jason Sanders made five field goals and De’Von Achane rushed for 121 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown, to seal the win. The Dolphins need some help, but are close to the Browns and Jets and will likely be favorites in both games.

The New England Patriots took a 14-0 lead in Buffalo, but the Bills fought back – led by two James Cook touchdowns – to win 24-21. Buffalo scored 24 straight points at one point in the game. The Bills are still in the running for the AFC’s No. 1 seed, but would need two losses in Kansas City and two wins of their own to reach the top spot. The Bills close at home against the Jets (Week 17) and at New England (Week 18), and the Chiefs – who beat the Texans on Saturday – close at the Steelers on Christmas Day and then at Denver in Week 18.

At the end of Week 16 on Sunday afternoon, the Raiders won 19:14 against the Jaguars. Brock Bowers became the first rookie tight end in NFL history to reach 100 receptions this year. He has 101 with two games to go, and the NFL record for a tight end in a single season belongs to Zach Ertz, who had 116 with the Eagles in 2018.

  • The Dolphins keep their playoff hopes alive with victory over the 49ers

  • Raiders are the top Jaguars in Vegas

  • De’Von Achane brings Miami within two points in less than 90 seconds of play

While it’s unlikely the 49ers will have more of a chance than if he’d taken a knee or slipped, the 50-yard touchdown run gives Miami a 29-17 lead. This number is important to some as the game total was 44.5 according to BetMGM.

  • Brock Bowers added some nice, round numbers to a legendary rookie year for a tight end

  • Purdy was late!

Kader Kohou made it, but San Francisco has three timeouts, but Miami is in control of the game and is able to end it with a first down.

  • Miami leads 22-17 after Jason Sanders’ fifth field goal of the game

He provided the Miami offense all day long, scoring the majority of the points, and now the Dolphins defense must keep San Francisco out of the end zone.

  • The Vikings return with a win in Seattle and keep pace with the No. 1 seed in the NFC

The late interception seals the deal for Minnesota, which improves to 13-2 and if they win, they would be the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

  • Ameer Abdullah puts the Raiders back in the lead

Las Vegas is up 19-14 after missing a two-point attempt following this Ameer Abdullah touchdown:

But this wouldn’t have been possible without this AMAZING escape from Aidan O’Connell

  • The 49ers took the lead from the Dolphins

Eric Saubert is the recipient of this thing. George Kittle was GREAT today – seven catches, 97 yards – so it’s no wonder Miami might not have had the 49ers’ No. 2 tight end, and it’s a one-possession game in Miami Gardens.

  • Darnold turns to Jefferson AGAIN for the answer in Seattle, and now Minnesota leads!

The Vikings just won’t go into Seattle’s night quietly as the path to the No. 1 seed is clear after Philly dropped another spot. Jefferson is up to 10 catches for 144 yards and now two touchdowns tonight.

  • The wheels have just fallen off the wagon for New England

After that fumble recovery in the end zone, the Bills have now scored 24 straight points, and Buffalo is now up by double digits as the fourth quarter comes to a close.

  • The Seahawks took the lead again late in the 4th quarter

AJ Barner is the recipient of Geno Smith’s third touchdown pass of the game, and Seattle is going blow for blow with Minnesota and looking like a playoff team in every way. Can they eke out a win in the final four minutes to keep their playoff hopes alive?

  • Jason Sanders adds the fourth field goal to Miami’s busy day

And Miami now leads the 49ers 19:10. The Dolphins need the win to stay in the AFC playoff hunt, and while they’ll need help, a win today – Cleveland and the Jets wrap up the season – would at least give the Dolphins a chance to control it , what they can control with a convenient schedule.

  • Invoices ensure further sales

This time it prevents the Patriots from scoring. Cam Lewis has the choice, and Buffalo has a chance to extend its lead.

  • Bills take a 17:14 lead

Buffalo’s Tyler Bass hits from 50 yards and the Bills are on top for the first time tonight

  • Buffalo forces a fumble and is back in business with a chance to take the lead

Dorian Williams recovered Rhamondre Stevenson’s fumble and after an early 14-0 loss, the Bills are in a position to take the lead for the first time today.

  • James Cook gets into the end zone again as Buffalo equalizes

This time with a third down pass from Josh Allen from four yards. The Bills need a win to stay alive and have a chance at the No. 1 seed in the AFC. A loss today would seal the top seed – and with it the all-important first-round bye – in the AFC playoffs.

  • Brian Thomas secures the rookie triple crown in Jacksonville

  • The Seahawks tied the game with a field goal to open the second half

Right now, Seattle is 17-1 and the offense is cooking. The two teams have already combined for nearly 400 yards of offense and it’s still early in the third quarter.

  • Tua’s Tyreek scores the three-yard touchdown and Miami takes the lead

Miami jumps into the lead late in the second quarter with Tua Tagovailoa’s 100th career touchdown pass, joining Dan Marino (420), Bob Griese (192) and Ryan Tannehill (123) as the only Dolphins quarterbacks to reach the milestone have.
