NFL update: Justice Hill gets a game ball, Rudolph takes over for the Titans

We’re entering the home stretch of the NFL regular season and still have about three crucial games left for the teams still in the playoffs. And there just happen to be a handful of former Cowboys who play on some of these teams.

Let’s take a look around the league to see how the OSU alums fared in Week 15.

Justice Hill checks the other boxes

Justice received a game ball for showcasing his talents in a manner less traditional for a ball carrier. The dynamic fifth-year running back recently signed a new two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens thanks to his ability to replace the talents of RB1 Derrick Henry and rush-heavy QB Lamar Jackson. Those skills were on display against the Giants.

Hill’s opening kickoff return of 59 yards was the longest for Baltimore this season, and he then hauled in all five balls thrown to him for 61 yards, including a huge 27-yard touchdown. Entering Week 16, Hill ranks second among AFC running backs with 447 yards after catch.

Justice, Tylan Wallace and the rest of the Ravens will host another OSU graduate when Jaylen Warren and the Pittsburgh Steelers meet in a crucial AFC North matchup on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Chuba takes care of the big ones

Chuba had a pretty dull game by his standards, running for just 32 yards and adding 17 receiving yards during the Panthers’ 30-14 loss to Dallas.

But while the Panthers have had a rebuilding year and have been out of playoff contention for some time, Chuba was a bright spot when he eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark the week before (he’s the first Canadian to do so). for almost four decades who succeeded in this). He also signed a major expansion and decided to distribute some of this wealth to the great people who had paved the way.

Chuba and the Panthers host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at noon.

“Rudolph, you’re there.”

Mason Rudolph is no stranger to the quarterback carousel, having spent four years up and down the charts in Pittsburgh before entering the QB fray at Tennessee this season. On Sunday, after not seeing the field for more than a month, he received the nod to spell Will Levis after the second-year quarterback recorded his fourth turnover of the game, including three interceptions that came in eight plays.

Rudolph came in and gave the Titans some life, completing 21 of 26 throws for 209 yards and two touchdowns, although he did have an interception of his own. After the game, Tennessee head coach Brian Callahan gave no details about who would start next week.

The 3-11 Titans travel to Indy to take on the Colts at noon Sunday.
