NFL Week 14 Results: Steelers get back on track with dominant win over Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers have overcome their recent struggles and are now back on track. They defeated the Cleveland Browns 27:14 and are going full steam ahead to consolidate their position at the top of the AFC North.

It started after their bye in Week 9. The Steelers defeated the Washington Commanders 28-27 and barely survived. In Week 11, they got another close win, an 18-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens. In Week 12, the Steelers lost to the Browns, a shocking 24-19 defeat that continued to highlight the defense’s mounting problems. Next they survived a shootout against the Bengals, but Cincinnati made this game very interesting with some late goals.

But on Sunday against the Browns, the Steelers erased any memory of the horrific loss two weeks earlier. Russell Wilson, who has been steady (and occasionally brilliant) this season, threw two touchdowns and no interceptions. The offense had several opportunities to develop, but the defense really showed off their skills. They held the Browns to two touchdowns (one at the start and one at the end when the game was already out of reach), sacked Browns QB Jameis Winston three times and intercepted him twice.

This win gives Pittsburgh a record of 10-3 (they are the first AFC North team to win 10 games in 2024) and drops the Browns to a mirror-like record of 3-10.
