NFL Wild Card Saturday pick, best bet

Let’s renew the division rivalry in what’s expected to be a cold affair as the Ravens host the Steelers in Baltimore.

Snow was originally forecast for this game, but that has since changed. Apart from the cold temperatures, clean football awaits us.

The Ravens are the heavy 0.5-point favorite at Caesars Sportsbook this weekend as they are the league’s highest-rated team in defense-adjusted value-of-average (DVOA).

Baltimore beat the Steelers 34-17 at home on December 21st, but lost 18-16 in Pittsburgh on November 17th.

It is the best-of-three match of the season and the winner advances to the divisional round.

Steelers vs Ravens prediction

In the last matchup between these two teams, the Ravens did a great job on offense, averaging 6.7 yards per play.

The reality is that no one trusts them after losing to the Chiefs last year as moderate favorites, where they outgained Kansas City by 5.9 yards per game to 4.4 yards.

But a bet on the Steelers isn’t necessarily worth it either.

Pittsburgh is playing its worst football of the season and has lost four games in a row.

The Steelers have the second-worst yards per pass attempt in the NFL during this stretch, behind only the Browns. Yikes.

I expect a strong performance from the Ravens in the Wild Card round, but expect them to fall short of a big spot later in these playoffs.

Betting on the NFL?

In a same-game parlay, target Derrick Henry’s rushing yards along with the Ravens’ alternate spread to get positive odds.

Henry has exceeded that mark in three straight games and is putting in an obscene workload.

PICK: Derrick Henry over 99.5 rushing yards + Ravens -3.5 (+118, DraftKings)
