NFL writer tries to turn Bengals fans into ‘rage bait,’ but they sense it

NFL writer tries to turn Bengals fans into ‘rage bait,’ but they sense it

Don’t fall for this, Bengals fans.

Perennial rage-baiter Mike Florio was at it again Friday, setting his sights on an easy target: Bengals fans.

“If the Bengals make the playoffs, Tee Higgins shouldn’t play without a new deal,” reads the headline on Florio’s bait.

Mike thinks that Higgins’ franchise tag contract is only for the regular season and that he should just sit because he would risk injury in the playoffs. The playoff salary, Mike says, isn’t worth it.

“Of course, Higgins would risk possible punishment if he flatly refused to play. While he would obviously lose his playoff checks, a fine for conduct detrimental to the team could allow the Bengals to retroactively fine Higgins the amount of one game check – even if he earned all of his 2024 game checks.

“The better approach would be to cite an injury, any injury, to justify not playing,” Mike writes.

THIS IS BAIT!

This is BAIT from a MASTER BAITER.

Mikey doesn’t tell his readers that Higgins busted his ass in a playoff game last week. Sure, the NFL didn’t classify it as a playoff game, but if the Bengals lost, their season was over. Higgins didn’t cite an injury to sit out and collect a check.

He won’t sit out again this week, and he wouldn’t sit out in the playoffs, and the MASTER BAITERn knows it. He just wants to test how stupid you are.
