White nationalist Nick Fuentes said an armed person approached his home Wednesday evening after the address of his Illinois home was leaked online.

Officers responded to a home in Berwyn, Illinois at 11:38 p.m. local time on Wednesday after receiving a “report of a male subject with a weapon,” Berwyn police said in a news release.

The man, who authorities did not identify, fled on foot and “successfully” evaded law enforcement, the release said. The man then forced his way into a nearby house, where he fatally shot the two dogs, police said.

The man fled into another neighbor’s yard and police gave him verbal commands to stop, which he did not follow, according to authorities. After he failed to cooperate, the man began shooting at the officers, who returned fire, police said.
