STORRS, Conn. – The No. 7 UConn women’s basketball team (12-2, 3-0 BIG EAST) will face Villanova (7-7, 1-1) at Finneran Pavilion on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (The River 105.9).

UConn defeated Marquette 77-45 on New Year’s Day. Second semester KK ArnoldA native of Germantown, Wisconsin, posted a season-high 13 points, four rebounds and capped her career with seven assists off the bench. The Huskies had just five turnovers against the Golden Eagles, UConn’s lowest mark of the season.

UConn is 44-18 all-time against Villanova. The Huskies have won the last six meetings between the teams. UConn head coach Geno Auriemma is from Norristown, Pennsylvania, about six miles from Villanova.

Villanova fell to Seton Hall, 56-55, on Wednesday with a last-second shot. This season, Jasmine Bascoe leads the Wildcats with 15.6 points per game. Head coach Denise Dillon is in her fifth season at her alma mater.

UConn returns to the XL Center to host Xavier next Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Huskies will celebrate Pride Night to honor the LGBTQ+ community. Tickets are available HERE.
