No. 8 Kentucky Basketball beats Georgia State

It was a slow start for the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team against Georgia State, but once the Wildcats got rolling, an onslaught ensued.No. 8 Kentucky defeated Georgia State 105-76. The Wildcats came out a little sluggish in the first 15 minutes of the game, but woke up and dropped 17 points in the final five minutes to take a 48-33 lead at the half. Kentucky stayed on the gas pedal in the second half, scoring 57 Points. There were no shots behind the arc for UK, so the Wildcats made it from deep and scored 62 points. All of Kentucky’s starters posted double-digit scoring nights, with Jaxson Robinson leading the way with 19. Ansley Almonor and Koby Brea came off the bench and scored 12 and 10 points on the night. Kentucky’s defense was too much for Georgia State all night, as the Panthers had 18 points on turnovers. The Wildcats improve to 7-0 on the season, with this win marking the team’s fourth 100-point game. Kentucky travels to Clemson to take on the Tigers on Tuesday. The game begins at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.
