BOSTON – Noah Kahan He may have been a breakthrough music star, but when he returned to New England, he found himself on the Logan airport shuttle bus like countless other vacationers.

Kahan posted on his Instagram story, “Back in the greatest city in the world.” In the photo from the airport shuttle, he tagged himself at Logan International Airport.

Kahan had one huge 2024from life in small town New England to sold out shows across the country.

The folk singer was born in Strafford, Vermont and attended high school in New Hampshire. He later lived in Watertown, Massachusetts.

By releasing his music on social media, Kahan became a viral sensation, which later translated to the stage as he performed at numerous sold-out venues.

Tour stops included two nights at Fenway Park. Kahan turned the performance into an album entitled “Live from Fenway Park.”

In his song “Stick Season,” Kahan declares, “I love Vermont, but it’s the season of sticks,” referring to the dreary months after the leaves fall from the trees but before snow covers the ground. The song climbed the charts and has more than 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Kahan scored one Grammy nomination for best new artist. Although he didn’t win, the singer-songwriter made for an unforgettable trip brought his mother with him as a guest.

Kahan currently has several international tour dates lined up, but no US dates have been announced for 2025.
