The New Orleans Saints are trying something new at quarterback.

After losing starter Derek Carr to a hand injury and Spencer Rattler’s disappointing performances early in the season, New Orleans turns to second-year QB Jake Haener on Sunday as they prepare to face the Washington Commanders.

Haener was drafted by the Saints in the fourth round of the 2023 draft out of Fresno State and will be making the first start of his NFL career.

While it’s never easy to make your first career start under such circumstances, Haener has a solid base of NFL fans behind him, thanks in part to his, shall we say, “bold” photo shoots.

Fans noticed Haener’s tendency to be in front of the camera as graphics began announcing his upcoming launch on social media.

Digging a little deeper, videos from Haener’s rookie season show that he was always ready to play with the camera. This is a man who knows his points.

Haener’s photo shoot caused quite a stir last year when the images were first released, but has found a new audience now that his first career launch is imminent. A video shared on the NFL’s social media accounts last year shows Haener in on the joke.

We don’t yet know how Haener will perform in the first game under center, but whatever happens, we can be confident that he will do well.
