Norwegian is canceling around five-month cruises on three ships

Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled around five-month cruises on three ships.

The cruise line suspended sailings on its ships Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star and Norwegian Jewel between November 2025 and April 2026. The following dates were affected:

Norwegian dawn: November 2, 2025, up to and including April 12, 2026
Norwegian star: November 20, 2025, up to and including April 14, 2026
Norwegian gem: November 23, 2025, up to and including April 5, 2026

The company cited “fleet reallocation” as the reason for the changes in letters sent to passengers and travel partners on Thursday, which the company told USA TODAY.

“Occasionally, planned itineraries may need to be canceled, allowing us the opportunity to introduce expanded voyages that meet strong guest demand and provide an even more immersive experience,” the letters said. “While cancellations may unfortunately occur, rest assured that we are always working hard to provide you with world-class cruise vacations to destinations that are on your wish list. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this cancellation may cause.”
