Notre Dame vs. Penn State: Live scoring updates for the CFP semifinals in the Orange Bowl

There are only four teams remaining in the 2024-25 College Football Playoff, all seeded 5-8. While No. 5 Texas and No. 8 Ohio State face off in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night, the No. 1 seed in the national championship game will be decided on Thursday in Miami Gardens, Fla., when No. 7 Notre Dame (13-1) faces No .6 Penn State (13-2) in the Orange Bowl (7:30 p.m., ESPN).

The Irish Lions and Nittany Lions meet two historic programs, with Notre Dame having won 11 national titles and Penn State winning two. However, the last one for the Irish was in 1988 and for the Lions in 1986, leaving two fan bases hungry to end those respective droughts.
