Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur: game time, live blog and how to watch online

Ah, the festive season. Packed with football games, fun for everyone, with thriving battles against tiring opponents. Feliz Navidad!

Nottingham Forest are Tottenham Hotspur’s opponents in the traditional Boxing Day game, with the Nuno Espirito Santo-coached side perhaps the surprise side of the 24/25 round of the Premier League. The East Midlands club would have been seen by many as a potential participant in the relegation battle but are instead struggling at the other end of the table, sitting in fourth place thanks largely to Chris Wood’s ten goals. However, it is their defense that makes them stand out. Nuno is making Forest fans proud as the team has the second best defensive record in the league.

It’s a record that many Spurs fans may be jealous of, but is probably a bit unrealistic given the resources at Ange Postecoglou’s disposal. There hasn’t been much positive news from Spurs on the injury front, but a bonus will be the availability of Rodrigo Bentancur after he serves his suspension.

This will be a tough game and the tired Spurs team will have to somehow find an extra reserve to take something away. Let’s hope they can!

Adjust thread rules

The match thread rules are the same as always. All visitors who come here for the first time are warmly welcome! We’re glad you’re here! Wipe your feet, mind the gap, and be sure to check out the other pages of this excellent site. However, while you’re here, we have a few rules and regulations:

  • Absolutely no links to illegal streams. They are evil and get us into trouble. Violators will be warned or banned.
  • We have rules against “relentless negativity.” Nobody likes a negative Nancy. Don’t be knee-jerk and post outlandish or hurtful things just because you’re frustrated.
  • In this sense, direct insults to players or match officials are not permitted. It’s okay to say “Wow, that was a really bad call,” but it’s NOT okay to excessively berate said officer over a call you didn’t like.
  • Treat other people in the match thread the way you would want someone else to treat your grandmother. Be nice. This is a community of fans, not an unmoderated message board.
  • NO SPIDERS!
  • Although we don’t have a policy against profanity, please try to keep the naughty words at bay. In addition, statements that are sexist, racist, transphobic or homophobic in nature will be immediately deleted and you will be blocked immediately. This is an open, supportive community.

Have fun and COYS!
