It cost me 1:08 to complete today’s conclusion NYT Mini.

I had a little difficulty with this and only got CAMEO as an actual answer on my first run through the Across notes. At first I thought 8 Across was “am too,” which confused me when I tried to fill in the down words. However, when I got to CODA, I realized that this had to be wrong. That helped me unlock OSCAR and DEETS, and then the racing started.

I have very little knowledge of Latin and therefore had no idea about 1 Across without context from other answers. I’m sure that’s not a fact that certain politically minded people would even use as a weapon.
