What will happen

Ohio State will come away with momentum, and so will Oregon. The Buckeye coaching staff has learned to bring things from the outside, on the field and in the room to the playmakers on offense, and that will continue in Pasadena. However, the Ducks have shown the ability to close close games with some intangibles that OSU appears to be lacking. It will be another classic at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, but Oregon will get a late score and unfortunately send Ohio State home with another crushing loss in a game that doesn’t score as many points as one would think due to defensive adjustments from the game in October.

What will happen

I see this going to be similar to the treat we had in Eugene. A hard-fought slugfest that will see multiple lead changes. The difference this time isn’t that the Ducks have home field advantage. Learning from past mistakes, the Buckeye coaching staff ends Oregon’s perfect season to advance to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff.

What will happen

Ohio State lost to this Oregon team on home soil by just one point. Playing at a neutral site will only help the Buckeyes. The two main reasons OSU struggled the last time the two met was Denzel Burke and the offensive line, but that O-line looked downright dominant against a great Tennessee front and the pass rush is much improved, which should help Burke in coverage. I think Ohio State has found its rhythm.

What will happen

The Buckeyes sort things out in the neutral field fight. Their secondary should be better this time around and they will be at a high level after a win against Tennessee. Oregon could struggle for a few weeks without playing. Expect Will Howard to be ready for the moment.

What will happen

I expect another epic game between these two teams. I really believe that if Oregon wins, they will win the title. Ohio State is the toughest opponent in these playoffs. Atticus Sappington will hit a FG as time expires and the Ducks win.
