2:42 p.m. PT – Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Bloomington police accessed the USB drives and determined they were not a confession OJ Simpson.

We were told… not only was there no confession, there was no official gazette on any of them – it just was Iroc Avelli talk to yourself.

New twist in the murders Nicole Brown Simpson And Ron Goldman …the police claim they have reason to believe they have a recording of this OJ Simpson confesses to the murders.

According to a new search warrant obtained by TMZ, cops in Minnesota say they have a USB drive that they were told contains a recording of OJ admitting to the double murder of Nicole and Ron.

In addition, police said they were informed that OJ was also seen in the recording, which was about an unknown third party.

In the arrest warrant, police say they confiscated a backpack containing several USB sticks from a man named Iroc Avelli as part of an investigation into a separate case. Avelli is Simpson’s former bodyguard.

According to the documents, Avelli was arrested in March 2022 and police executed a search warrant to collect evidence, including a green backpack containing live ammunition and other items.

Bloomington PD in Minnesota says June 2024 – two months later OJ died – They received a call from an LAPD detective who told them that Avelli and his attorney had met with the LAPD and told the officers that there was a USB drive containing the recording of OJ’s confession in the green backpack.

To access the contents of the flash drive, Minnesota cops needed a new search warrant…so they went to a judge in June and got permission.

But here’s the thing… legal documents say the results of what’s actually on the USB are still pending.

According to our law enforcement sources, the USB drive in question was the subject of an ongoing litigation… Avelli and his attorney sued Minnesota police to recover all of his confiscated items – but in July, a judge denied a request to return the USB drive’s possession.

From the looks of it, the hard drive is in the custody of the Bloomington Police Department, but we don’t know if they’ve looked into the contents… or if they’ve passed any information on to the LAPD.

As you know, OJ was indicted for the murders of Nicole and Ron in 1994. He was acquitted in the “Trial of the Century”… although he was later found responsible for the murders in a civil trial.

Simpson’s longtime lawyer and executor, Malcolm LaVergnetells TMZ … he believed that the LAPD viewed the murder case as closed, that their position was that OJ did but closed the case, and that the police never actively pursued it since the end of the criminal case in 1995 was looking for another suspect.

LaVergne says he’s trying to get all the evidence – including the suicide note, the gloves and the sweater hat – to auction off to pay off Simpson’s debts… but this flash drive may be the most important evidence yet.
