On Monday, Alex Caruso saw the Oklahoma City Thunder’s victory over the Wizards prematurely after diving to the ground following a loose ball. The nature of the game led many to speculate that the figure was once again Caruso’s waist. On Wednesday, the Thunder were able to provide some clarity as it was time to file their first injury report since the game against Washington.

Caruso was sidelined Wednesday with a left hip strain, forcing him to play in street clothes against the Indiana Pacers. It is unclear how long the defensive star will be out as a result. However, Caruso only experienced the fastest recovery from injury this season after three games.

For Caruso it is the ninth game lost due to injury. The hip injury hampered him throughout the 2024-25 season. This is being classified as a left hip strain, while Caruso previously struggled with a sore hip before being upgraded to a strain once the situation persisted.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will face the Indiana Pacers without Caruso on Thursday before traveling to Buzz City to face the Hornets on Saturday. After this trip to the East Coast, it’s very important that the defensive star gets back into the lineup as the Thunder’s schedule becomes more and more daunting.
