Olive Garden responds to a customer’s suspicious problem with breadsticks

This Olive Garden guest had unlimited suspicions.

A customer recently worried the Olive Gardens corporate team when he shared what he discovered on his breadsticks.

TikTokker @fartbubble69420 posted a video showing a half-eaten breadstick with the words “O K6” written on it.

“Guys, why are there letters on my Olive Garden breadstick?” the guest captioned the video.

The disturbing video quickly went viral, garnering over 3.4 million views and soon sparking a response from the official Olive Garden TikTok account.

“We are concerned about it,” Olive Garden responded.

They then asked the person to email their name and the location where they were served the marked breadstick to their social media account.

The TikTokker informed viewers with a second video showing a screenshot of an email from Olive Garden giving them a $100 gift card to the restaurant.

Although there was never an official explanation for what happened, some people responded in the comments claiming to know what went wrong.

The TikTokker and Olive Garden did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment.

Several people who claim to be current or former employees of the restaurant chain said the print was likely transferred from the plastic bag used to store the popular entrees when they are delivered and sit in the freezer.

This came shortly after Darden Restaurants, the parent company of Olive Garden, saw its shares recover after a weak summer, likely due to an inflation-related price increase.

“We are clearly seeing changes in consumer behavior,” Darden CEO Rick Cardenas said at the time. “Lower-income consumers actually seem to be pulling back.”

The Italian chain became too expensive, especially for those earning less than $75,000.

However, Olive Garden still lures guests with its discount offers, including the Never Ending Pasta Bowl and Never Ending First Course, which serve endless soups, salads, and breadsticks—let’s just hope they’re not numbered.
