John Mulaney will never run out of comedy material as long as his mother-in-law continues to live with him.

The stand-up star shared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Thursday that his wife Olivia Munn’s mother, Kim Munn, once asked him to buy her a “round-trip ticket” to fly from California to Oklahoma to buy so she could pick up a real estate bill in her mailbox.

Mulaney suggested a simpler and cheaper option, such as having Kim’s Oklahoma-based sister send it to her, but rejected the idea, stating that she “didn’t want it to travel that far.”

“Her husband Sam wanted to return to Oklahoma. I said, ‘Why don’t you give him the check and he’ll fly back and mail it?’ And she said, ‘I don’t want my check flying on the plane,'” the “Kid Gorgeous” star added.

Mulaney, 42, didn’t share whether he complied with the request, but joked that he and Olivia, 44, were accepting their living situation with their mother “minute by minute.”

The “Saturday Night Live” alum quietly married the “Newsroom” star in July.

The couple were first linked in May 2021 following Mulaney’s stint in rehab for addiction and announced they were expecting a baby just a few months later.

Olivia recently admitted that she and her now-husband, who was going through a divorce at the time, “barely knew each other” when they welcomed their son Malcolm.

“It wasn’t anything like ‘dating,'” she told GQ.

The couple had originally planned to co-parent their child from different states, but when the actress gave birth to Malcolm in November 2021, they were already in a committed relationship.

Olivia announced earlier this year that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023 and underwent a double mastectomy.

After her health battle, the Daily Show alum and Mulaney welcomed a baby girl named Méi via surrogate in September.
