Orlando Brown Jr. may have recently traded in his Kansas City Chiefs red for the Cincinnati Bengals orange, but he’s once again rooting for the Andy Reid team to pull out a win.

The Bengals are 9-8 this season, but they need some help to get to the postseason. Of utmost importance (no pun intended) is the Denver Broncos’ 9-7 loss before them in the final game of their 2024 regular season against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brown will need a lot of luck to get his team into the playoffs, as the Chiefs will rest many of their biggest names and start Carson Wentz at quarterback. However, that didn’t stop Brown from doing everything in his power to make sure the Chiefs came out on top.

Brown said he texted many of his old teammates Sunday morning, asking them for one last win to send Cincinnati to the playoffs. He even jokingly offered to pay for Aaron Rodgers’ next trip to Peru if the Jets could beat the Miami Dolphins to secure a spot for the Bengals.

Brown may not be the most popular figure in Chiefs Kingdom right now. While the Bengals may not be historical rivals of Kansas City, the move from Patrick Mahomes to Joe Burrow left a slightly bad taste in some fans’ mouths, despite his past contributions to the team.

The only way the Bengals can make the playoffs is if the Chiefs beat Denver without some of their best players. Additionally, the Jets must defeat the Miami Dolphins in what could well be the final game of Aaron Rodgers’ legendary career.

The Chiefs will have a lot of work to do in this game. Not only has Bo Nix proven to be better than many expected in his rookie season, but the Broncos also have one of the best defenses in the league. Wentz, who consistently moves the ball, may be out of the question for Kansas City in this game.

Brown’s playoff fate is out of his hands, which is unusual for a man who has spent his entire career winning over teams that often advance to the playoffs. He owes a lot to his old teammates if they can defeat Nix and stop their division rivals from taking Cincinnati’s place.
