Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, known for his rebellious lifestyle and outspoken personality, recently shared a breathtaking story about one Christmas when he drank 28 gallons of beer.

The 76-year-old singer, known for his wild escapades and struggles with addiction, revealed he drank incredibly heavily to get through the holidays.

In an interview with The Sun, the “Changes” singer said candidly: “I f***ing hate Christmas. It’s going straight to my asshole.” To cope with the festivities, he bought a 28-gallon keg of beer and admitted: “I drank it before it was Christmas Eve,” meaning about 224 pints in just a few days were drunk.

Ozzy’s relationship with sobriety

Despite his battle with alcohol and drug abuse, Osbourne has been open about his journey to sobriety. In October, during an appearance on the Madhouse Chronicles Podcast, he admitted: “I’m happier, but I’m not completely sober. I use some marijuana from time to time.”

He also opened up about how his wife Sharon Osbourne deals with his occasional drug use. “Even with marijuana, she’ll f***ing find it and get rid of it,” he shared.

Ozzy went on to explain how a recent medical experience involving a small dose of ketamine triggered disturbing memories: “The thing came back and took a toll on my brain.”

The authenticity of Osbourne’s honesty about his struggles with addiction and his dislike of Christmas makes it clear that his life is more than the music he plays. Although he may have exhibited some outrageous behaviors in the past, his openness in dealing with these issues offers insight into his growth and journey to self-knowledge.

From holiday shenanigans to battling addiction, Ozzy Osbourne continues to entertain audiences with his no-nonsense personality and rock ‘n’ roll spirit.
