Pacific Notes: James, Harden, Durant, Kuminga

LeBron James had appeared in all 23 of the Lakers’ games this season through Sunday. James, 39, missed Los Angeles’ game against the Trail Blazers due to soreness in his left foot, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reports.

James played a season-high 43 minutes in an overtime loss at the Hawks on Friday. He collected 39 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots. He averages 23 points, 9.1 assists and 8.0 rebounds.

He was already listed as probable on Sunday before being downgraded to doubtful following the team’s bye.

“They certainly don’t want to take him out of the lineup, but he has the opportunity to rest for four days before we train again.” trainer JJ Redick said. “So it could be really good for him.”

Austin Reaves missed his fifth straight game due to a left pelvic contusion.

According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times (Twitter link), Harden was sidelined with a groin injury. He averages 21.6 points, 8.5 assists and 6.8 rebounds. Harden scored a season-low five points against Minnesota on Wednesday.
  • Kevin Durant According to Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic, he is making good progress with his left ankle sprain. “We believe the feedback we receive is very positive” Suns trainer Mike Budenholzer said. “We’ll see how it goes in the next day or two and I think we’ll evaluate him again. It will be good for us to come back and give him some love. He’ll probably give us some love. It’s always good to be with Kevin. It’s good for our spirit.” The team said Wednesday that Durant will be out for at least a week.
