Pamela Anderson flaunted her largely makeup-free face on the red carpet at the 2024 Gotham Awards.

Anderson, 57, arrived at the event in New York City on Monday, December 2, looking naturally glamorous in a sand-colored satin column dress. Her hair was long and blonde with beach waves. She appeared to have the slightest hint of neutral lip gloss, eyeshadow, and perhaps concealer — but nothing too dramatic.

That was her nominated this evening for Outstanding Lead Performance for her vivid role in The Last Showgirlbut lost to Colman Domingo for his work in Singing Singing.

Anderson recently made the decision to go makeup-free, which made headlines since she came out bare-faced Paris Fashion Week in 2023.

Pamela Anderson says she has even more fans now that she doesn’t wear makeup. “I didn’t think anyone would notice,” Anderson, 57, said in a profile published on Wednesday, August 7, to Better Homes & Gardens. “And then it became this whole thing. I am now being stopped by people on the street and said: “You (…)”

“I have no makeup at home, so why not go to Paris Fashion Week?” she said People this November. Anderson added: “I didn’t expect anyone to notice, but I’m glad it sparked a positive message.”

The actress acknowledged the possibility of wearing more makeup in the future, but emphasized her desire to break away from conventional beauty standards.

“I’m not against it, but I don’t want to play the game,” she said, adding, “It felt empowering to look in the mirror and say, ‘I just feel so good.'”

She consistently opts for minimal glamor at events and appearances on the red carpet. And she has inspired others to do the same.

Last week, Jamie Lee Curtis – who stars alongside Anderson The Last Showgirl shared a selfie without makeup via Instagram as a tribute to the former Baywatch Symbol.

Curtis, 66, captioned the photo: “Selfie straight out of the shower. In honor of @pamelaanderson @lastshowgirl and her unvarnished ownership. Sober. Strong. Lasts.”

She added: “I just noticed that it looks like I’ve put on mascara, which is clearly a leftover from my day at work yesterday. “Obviously mom didn’t wash her face very well.”

Curtis has long been a vocal admirer of Anderson’s confidence, which she says inspired her to join the cast of The Last Showgirla drama directed by Gia Coppola which was released earlier this year. At the Toronto International Film Festival in September, Curtis praised Anderson as “a transcendent creature, so clever, deeply spiritual, soulful and beautiful.”
