Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard scored more than one touchdown in the second half of this afternoon’s hard-fought game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He also achieved a milestone in his career.

Hubbard has now accumulated 1,000 rushing yards in a single season for the first time in his four-year NFL career. With just over eight minutes left in the third quarter of Sunday’s game, he secured the milestone with a 6-yard run.

Then, eight snaps later, Hubbard hit the end zone for a 1-yard punch-in, giving the Panthers a 16-14 lead over the heavily favored Eagles.

Hubbard – at the end of the 12-play, 58-yard drive – now has 1,004 rushing yards on the campaign. He reached his career high last season when he ran for 902 yards and five scores.
