Panthers WR Xavier Legette will be out when the Cardinals play with a groin injury

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CHARLOTTE SPROTS LIVE) – Panthers rookie receiver Xavier Legette was ruled out Sunday against the Cardinals with a hip injury, the team reported Friday.

Legette left last week’s game in the second half and did not return, and he did not practice all week. The team’s top draft pick in 2024 was already scheduled to undergo offseason wrist surgery.

With three games left, Legette leads the Panthers (3-11) with 451 catches, 439 receiving yards and four touchdowns through the air.

The Panthers reported that several other starters were listed as questionable, including two offensive linemen. Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu and right guard Robert Hunt did not participate in Friday’s practice due to illness. Defensive player A’Shawn Robinson (knee) was also out on Friday and is questionable.

Wide receivers David Moore (concussion) and Jalen Coker (quadriceps) are also questionable. Moore was a full participant on Friday and Coker was limited.

Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee) is also listed as questionable but was a full participant on Friday.

The Panthers take on the Cardinals (7-7) at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m.
