Paris Hilton watched on live TV as her Malibu home “burned to the ground” amid LA wildfires.

Paris Hilton is one of the celebrities affected by the LA wildfires, which affected thousands of residents following a violent storm.

On Tuesday evening, Hilton shared a message on Instagram asking people to pray for California and Los Angeles amid the Pacific Palisades fires. On Wednesday, Hilton said she learned her Malibu home had burned down while watching the news on television.

“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news and watching our house burn to the ground in Malibu on live television is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton shared on Instagram. “We created so many precious memories in this house. This is where Phoenix took its first steps and we dreamed of creating unforgettable memories for a lifetime with London.”

She continued: “Although the loss is overwhelming, I hold on to the gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers go out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories and their beloved pets. My heart aches for those who are still in danger or grieving greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable. To know that so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”

Hilton mentioned that her team reached out to local organizations to see how they could help those affected by the fires. The Paris in love star also expressed her gratitude to “the brave firefighters and first responders who risk their lives to protect us – they are true heroes.”

“Please everyone stay safe and follow evacuation instructions,” she added. “Let us protect each other and hold on to the hope that these fires will soon be contained.” I am sending you all so much love and strength. We’re in this together, LA. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change.”
