Pasadena Community Foundation Launches Fire Relief Fund – Pasadena Now

The Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF), a long-standing local nonprofit, has established an emergency fund to assist victims of the Eaton Canyon Fire. The foundation announced the creation of the Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund, committing an initial $100,000 to address community needs.

“We were all captivated by the news and saw the devastating impact of the Eaton Canyon Fire on our neighbors. My condolences go out to everyone affected by this disaster,” said Jennifer DeVoll, President and CEO of the Pasadena Community Foundation.

The fund “provides an opportunity for those who want to support immediate and longer-term needs,” the foundation said in a statement. PCF emphasized that “100% of contributions provide significant relief.”

The foundation, which serves as a “vital resource for the greater Pasadena area of California,” has been in operation since 1953. It has “evolved into a non-profit nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people in the Pasadena community, both today and future generations.”

Community members interested in supporting the relief effort can donate through the foundation’s online portal at https://pasadena.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=6192.
