A Los Angeles man was caught in a carousel while trying to return home from the Phoenix metropolitan area while riding a Waymo to the airport.

“OK, why is this happening to me on a Monday?” Mike Johns asked in a video he filmed in an autonomous vehicle in Scottsdale, Arizona: “I’m in a Waymo car… and this car is just going in circles. “

In the video, the car can be heard connecting to Waymo support for help.

“I received notification that your car may have a routing issue,” the customer service representative can be heard telling Johns.

“I have to catch a flight. Why is this thing spinning in circles? I feel dizzy,” he replies. He then tells the agent that he was wearing a seatbelt and “couldn’t get out of the car.”

“Was this hacked? “What’s going on?” he asks. “I feel like I’m in the cinema. Is someone playing a trick on me?”
