Plot overview

Unlike the 1997 original Anaconda, which was about a documentary crew taking on a giant snake in the Amazon, this version takes a completely different approach. The new Anaconda follows a group of middle-aged friends who are stuck in everyday routines and long for adventure. In a spontaneous decision, they set out to remake a popular film from their youth. But their fun project takes a chaotic turn when they find themselves deep in a jungle full of unexpected challenges.
Although the film shares its title with the original, it moves away from the survival horror genre and leans more toward comedy, self-awareness, and a meta-narrative style. The plot combines humor, adventure and the challenges of friendships that are tested under extraordinary circumstances.
