BBC Crime drama Peaky Blinders will not end after the upcoming Netflix film.

Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinder, revealed this in an interview with Times Radio on Saturday.

“Well, it’s interesting that you ask that question because the movie is coming out right now and that won’t be the end of it,” he told the outlet in response to the fate of the gangster franchise.

“It won’t be the end, let me put it that way. I’m not saying anything about it,” Knight added.

The latest development comes as filming for the upcoming film – written by Knight and directed by Tom Harper, who directed three episodes of the series – is wrapping up.

The director also confirmed that the film will be released in “about a year.”

While there is no confirmation of an official release date, Peaky Blinders Fans will see Cillian Murphy reprise his role as Tommy Shelby, alongside a supporting cast including Stephen Graham, Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan and Tim Roth.

Knight also called the film, set during World War II, “an explosive chapter in history.” Peaky Blinders Story.”
