Set photos from Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantasticfrom the set of The Fantastic Four: Getting Started have caught the attention of many fans online.

Pascal was officially announced as Reed Richards by Marvel Studios in a special feature on February 14, 2024. In addition to Pascal, the new Fantastic Four film stars Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.

The latest photos of Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards were posted on X (formerly Twitter) by a fan account called Pedro Pascal Daily. While Pascal was seen in the photos signing a few autographs for fans, keen-eyed onlookers couldn’t help but notice the streak of gray hair above his ear. This hairstyle is similar to the hairstyle worn by Reed Richards in the comics, so it’s causing a lot of excitement among fans of the characters’ classic look. Another X user shared a collage of pictures of Pascal and Richards side by side to show the resemblance.

Since filming began on “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” photos from the film’s set have been circulating on the Internet, increasing the hype surrounding the project. Speaking about the film at SDCC, where the entire cast came together for the first time, Pascal said, “I think we’re really getting to the essence of what this comic is.” The actor also shared a behind-the-scenes picture in July of the cast on Instagram and wrote in the caption: “Our first mission.”

Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled to release on July 25 next year.
