Pep Guardiola watched in despair as his Manchester City side lost again. this time 2-1 at Aston Villawhile the four-time reigning Premier League champions are weakening.

They have now won just one of their last 12 games in all competitions.

City fell behind early on after a resounding start to the game and although they recovered a bit and created a few chances, they never looked comfortable defensively and Villa were so dangerous on the counterattack that Morgan Rogers brought the game to a close.

Guardiola looked devastated throughout as City never got to grips with Villa’s counter-attacks and shocked in defense.

Erling Haaland on City’s confidence and belief in Guardiola

Asked by TNT Sports in the UK about City’s confidence, Erling Haaland

“Of course not the best. We know how important self-confidence is and you can see that it affects everyone. “That’s how it is, we have to keep going and stay positive, even when it’s difficult,” said Haaland.

He also said: “It’s not good enough, it’s not good enough from me” when discussing the defeat at Aston Villa.

But Haaland continues to believe in Pep Guardiola and believes he can find a way to turn things around.

“He won the Premier League six times in seven years, we will never forget that. He will find the solutions. He did that every year. We still believe in him, we have to work harder now than ever before,” added Haaland.
