Philadelphia 76ers player goes viral with poster slam against Hornets

As the Philadelphia 76ers worked to complete their 10th straight win over the Charlotte Hornets, veteran forward Guerschon Yabusele threw down a fierce dunk to put the icing on the match.

Yabusele was substituted for 14 minutes on Friday evening. During this time he shot seven times from the field. He was successful in four of his attempts. As far as the points are concerned, it was quite a solid evening for Yabusele. He scored nine points.

Aside from scoring, the veteran forward grabbed five rebounds and provided two assists. He was one of three players to score points off the bench, along with Eric Gordon and Ricky Council.

Although Yabusele’s dunk garnered a lot of attention on social media, it wasn’t exactly surprising. Finally, his viral slam against LeBron James at the Olympics this summer put him back on the NBA map.

Not long after the Olympics ended, Yabusele received offers and accepted the Sixers deal. He completed a buyout with Real Madrid and joined Philadelphia on a one-year contract through the 2024-2025 NBA season.

Yabusele was a home run signing for the Sixers this season. Before Friday’s game, Yabusele played 24 games. During that time, he averaged nine points while shooting 48 percent from the field. He hit his three-pointers on four attempts per game at a rate of 37 percent.

The Sixers got off to a slow start this year, but a win on Friday night helped them to their ninth win of the season before the Sixers take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night.
