Phoenix Suns collapse with loss to Golden State Warriors

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns (15-16) couldn’t quite recover from last night’s loss in dramatic fashion, falling to the Golden State Warriors (16-15) by a score of 109-105 in San Francisco on Saturday night.

Ryan Dunn took over the starting lineup again for the injured Devin Booker – and contributed early with a three-pointer, while Mason Plumlee came in for the suspended Jusuf Nurkic.

Draymond Green was listed as questionable on the night, but the Warriors’ star forward was cleared shortly before kickoff.

Golden State finally tied the game in the next ten minutes and took a 34-27 lead in the second quarter.

Phoenix went on a 21-9 run in the second quarter to take a 48-43 lead before Golden State called a timeout with 5:20 left in the half.

Bradley Beal had one of his best halves as a member of the franchise, scoring 22 points in the first half, enough to secure a 65-61 lead heading into the locker room.

Phoenix continued the momentum through much of the third set – as they jumped to an 87-82 lead in the final 12 minutes behind a valiant shot from Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant – 31 PTS, 6 REB, 4 BLK, 10-24 FG
