The Class B No. 3 Omaha Skutt boys basketball team probably has the biggest front line in Class B with Brock Scholl, a 6-foot-9 Omaha player, and George Ziebell, a 6-9 junior.

With some players still sporting blonde hair from reaching the football championship in the fall, the defending basketball state champion SkyHawks imposed their will on No. 7 Lincoln Pius X on Saturday afternoon with a dominant score of 59-35 to win.

“They were more physical than us in every way,” Lincoln Pius X coach Adam Brill said. “They picked on us. They ripped physical punches through our hips and through our bodies. They played through our chests. They crossed our faces several times during cuts and post-ups. They were simply the more physical team today.”

Skutt started the game with a 7-0 run, but Pius – push shots back off the glass from about 10 feet away.
