The Red Wings host the Blackhawks tomorrow. Coverage begins at 6:40 a.m. on 99.3 The Lift.

Goalkeeper Ville Husso will be with the Wings tomorrow evening. He was called up from Grand Rapids because Alex Lyon suffered an upper-body injury in Tuesday’s game.

The Wings also placed defenseman Jeff Petry on injured reserve. He was injured a week ago in Detroit’s game against the Blackhawks.

NFL

Packers quarterback Jordan Love was limited in practice yesterday as he tries to recover from the elbow injury that left him out of action in last Sunday’s loss to the Bears. After practice, he said he was “hopeful” he would be ready for Sunday’s playoff opener against the Eagles.

It’s not just the Detroit Lions’ assistant coaches who are catching the attention of other teams. Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson will interview for the Patriots head coaching job tomorrow. New England is also the latest team to add Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to its roster. Now there’s a report that the Jets are interested in former Lions star Chris Spielman for their general manager job. Spielman currently serves as a special advisor for Detroit and is widely recognized for helping turn the organization around.
