Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens predictions: Who will win the decisive AFC North game?

BALTIMORE – The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Baltimore to see if they can win the division and defeat their nemesis, the Ravens. While Pittsburgh is banged up and injured, the Ravens are one of the healthier teams in the NFL, although they will be missing wide receiver Nelson Agholor and may be without Rashod Bateman.

If the Ravens win, they will be as close as they have been in weeks to winning the AFC North. There are numerous seeding implications for both sides in this game, and a Steelers win would end the race.

So who will win this game? Here are my predictions for the divisional battle in the Charm City.

PLAYERS ON SITE: The Pittsburgh Steelers secondary should be ready to play. Baltimore will try to make this a track and field meet, because without George Pickens it’s difficult to imagine the Steelers being able to compete. Even with the Pickens, the Steelers didn’t score a touchdown last time out and the Ravens’ defense has only improved since then. Pittsburgh’s problems on defense all came in the secondary. If Joey Porter Jr., James Pierre and others can step up without DeShon Elliott and possibly Donte Jackson, they have a chance to stifle the Ravens’ superior offense, giving their offense the chances it needs.

Don’t be surprised if… The Ravens pull away early. In a close game, I like the Steelers, but the Ravens want to score and score early. In the first meeting between these two teams, the Ravens only came onto the field a minute before halftime. They only scored two touchdowns in the entire game. Baltimore will look to crack this right away, especially since a track and field meet will benefit them. They haven’t had a track and field meet they didn’t like this year, but a rock match poses all sorts of problems for Baltimore.

PROPS BETS I LIKE:

Zay Flowers any time TD (+185, FanDuel)

Lamar Jackson over 0.5 interceptions (+120, DraftKings)

Cam Heyward over 0.25 sacks (+200, DraftKings)

First FG made, Steelers (+100, DraftKings)

FORECAST: The injuries will make it difficult for the Steelers to score. They need to make some explosive plays and the running game needs to give them enough traction to score two touchdowns. The formula would be that the defense then slows down, the Ravens, but it’s just hard to imagine that. I think this is the time when the Ravens can finally end their winning streak against the Steelers. Ravens 24, Steelers 14
