EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The eyes are skyward at MetLife Stadium.

For the second week in a row before a New York Giants home game, a plane with a banner circled above the stadium carrying a message to franchise co-owner John Mara.

This week it says: “LORD MARA ENOUGH – WE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL YOU ALL FIRE”

Last week the message read: “Mr. Mara enough – please fix the dumpster fire.” This banner circled the stadium before the Giants’ 14-11 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

The Giants are currently on an eight-game losing streak and are 2-11 overall and 0-7 at home. The pressure on GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll is increasing. Last week, most players surveyed didn’t know about the plane that flew by before the game.

“I would say, look, we won two games, so I’m not happy either,” Daboll said last week when asked about the aerial performance.

This Sunday, some players and coaches were on the field warming up before the game. Schoen was on the field once, not long after the plane made its rounds.

The last two weeks have drawn a parallel to 1978, when fans chartered a plane to fly over Giants Stadium during a game with a banner reading “15 years of lousy football – we’ve had enough.” The Giants were in the midst of a 17-year playoff drought. The Giants have now only gone two years without a postseason appearance, but since their divisional-round loss to the rival Philadelphia Eagles, the team is 8-22.

After Sunday’s game, there is only one home game left – a Week 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts.
